After graduating from
medical school at the University of California, Davis with highest
honors, Dr. Yee received his infertility training at USC and is
board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. An
internationally recognized expert, he is a pioneer in the fields
of in vitro fertilization, GIFT and embryo freezing dating back
to 1982. His early work culminated in the first frozen embryo pregnancy
in the United States.
He established University
Infertility Associates at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center,
which affiliated with CARC in 1995 and merged into Reproductive
Partners in 1998.
Dr. Yee is recognized
for his expertise in microsurgical and laparoscopic surgical techniques
including laparoscopic reversal of tubal sterilization. He is noted
as the lead author of, "Transvaginal Sonography in Infertility,"
and for his pioneering work to save the lowland gorilla from extinction
leading to the first successful in vitro fertilization in this species.
In addition his commitment to improve the medical practice of infertility
has led to his posts as president of the Society for Assisted Reproductive
Technology and Commissioner of the College of American Pathologists
Laboratory Accreditation Program. Dr. Yee has two daughters and
resides in Palos Verdes Estates.
