Dr. Lederer served his residency at New York Medical College, St. Vincent's Hospital & Medical Center of Manhattan in New York City. He successfully finished a two-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and then became Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Lederer's interests include ovarian physiology, assisted reproductive technology and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. He has presented papers at national meetings and is published in the field of ovarian physiology. He is the former director of the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Medicine in south suburban Chicago.
