Dr. Marcelo J. Barrionuevo joined NCIRE in 1998. He is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine, Argentina. He trained first in Internal Medicine and then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Hospital, a Wayne State University Institution, in Detroit, Michigan. He also completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. Following training, Dr. Barrionuevo joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the Division of Gynecology where he served as the director of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. He also developed and directed the International Exchange Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
