Susan P. Willman, M.D., completed her undergraduate and medical training in her hometown, St Louis, Missouri, at St. Louis University. She then spent four years at University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas for her general obstetrics and gynecology training at Parkland Hospital. After completing her subspecialty training at the University of California San Francisco in 1989, she entered private practice in the Bay Area.

In 1992, she established her private practice in Orinda, specializing in infertility and assisted reproductive technologies. After a two year affiliation with the Reproductive Science Center in San Ramon, Dr. Willman merged her practice with RSC on January 1, 2001.

Dr. Willman is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board eligible for Reproductive Endocrinology. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, it's affiliate Mental Health Professional Group, and Resolve. Her areas of special interest are the psychological aspects of infertility and pre-implantation genetic testing.
